Juvenile prank or over-the-top Packers fan? Somebody stole a temporary street sign leading up to the much anticipated return of Bret Favre to Green Bay. The city of Green Bay decided that they should change the name of Minnesota Avenue to Aaron Rodgers Drive to hype up Favre’s replacement.
As it turns out, a 16-year veteran of the city Water Utility department decided he wanted that sign. And he took it. He insists the removal was only temporary.
“I was not planning on stealing it. I thought I would take it home, take the pictures and put it back. This was me being stupid. I got caught up in all the hype.”
Dimwit. Stand next to the street sign and take a picture. You don’t’ have to take things home to have your picture taken with it.
