Sometimes, football’s talking heads speak before thinking. Pro Football Weekly’s Dan Hampton is guilty of that. Hurricane Katrina forever altered the history of New Orleans in a devastating way. For Hampton to use it as a sports metaphor shows no class. Obviously, the New Orleans Saints vs. the Minnesota Vikings is a quality week 1 matchup. But, invoking the name of a retired hurricane was unnecessary.
