Does Matt Flynn’s Performance Today Make Aaron Rodgers Less Valuable?

Today, Green Bay Packers backup quarterback Matt Flynn threw for a franchise record 480 yards and six touchdowns. This performance sort of begs the question…is it Aaron Rodgers or is it Green Bay Packers head coach Mike McCarthy’s system that has made the Packers so successful?

Having said that, if you’re New Orleans Saints QB Drew Brees, are you feeling a little better about your chances of possibly winning an NFL MVP award this season?

Reaction to Carlos Zambrano Retirement

People around baseball do not appear to be using a lot of words to express there surprise that Carlos Zambrano has stated his interest in retiring after last night’s Chicago Cubs game against the Atlanta Braves.

His exit stems from an awful performance that saw him give up four home runs before being ejected for throwing at Chipper Jones. After the second attempt to hit Chipper failed, the Braves were out of the dugout ready to fight. Braves reliever Peter Moylan (@PeterMoylan) had this reaction on Twitter after learning of Zambrano’s departure.

But, I’m going to write this Tweet off as a blond moment. For me, Casey Anthony was found innocent by a jury of her peers after days and days of evidence was presented. Ask Casey Anthony if she got “nothing” in terms of jail time. Three years have already been served for a crime she was found innocent of.
