As first reported by Gothamist.com, the family of a 12-year-0ld boy is suing the school district for injuries sustained during a game of dodgeball.

The boy was sitting out the game, recovering from dental work resulting from an automobile accident he had been in.  Lo and behold, while sitting there, he was smacked in the face by a ball thrown during a game of dodgeball. 

To me, it seems like the kid should have been in study hall.  Being anywhere close to flying balls could be deemed dangerous.  If he couldn’t participate in the games anyway, why was he there?  Seems like the school is in trouble.  They are offering 20 grand to make this go away.
